-How to design a space where visitors feels invited to participate and leave their imprints in the exhibition?

I was commissioned to develop the interactive part of Jon Geib’s exhibition. A ship will be loaded at Frölunda Kulturhus, as well as beeing a feedback-partner in concept development and the design of the overall idea of the exhibition.

A performance about the modern parenthood.
About how and why we become, or not become, parents.
About childless and childfree. About longing, upbringing, fears and power.
About standards, ideal families, expectations and life- long relationships.
Realism and imagination, deadly serious and poetry.
Is parenting an impossible project? Is it possible to write a waterproof project plan for how we raise a competent child and at the same time keep the relationships, career and personal development alive? What do we sacrifice and what do we win?

The audience are participants in a course. The stage room starts in a “lecture hall” that breaks up later on.

Eight people at a time are escorted to the three different rooms. In each room, they meet an actor in a highly personal, visual theatrical action. During the performance the actors tell their own notion of experiences and perceptions of identity and gender. “

Atalante, Gothenburg 2013

Sånglösa is a new opera for children. Screenwriter and composition of Niklas Ryden, directing and choreography by Henrik Andersson and Eva Ingmarsson.

It is a story about a girl who can no longer sing because she experienced severe losses and grief. In the performance we follow her journey back. By her side is Pronto, the inner voice that is complaining and bothering.

The premiere of the performance was at Atalante in 2013, and has subsequently toured to schools and other venues.

Föreställningen är ett absurt relationsdrama som utspelar sig i nutid/50-tal, där rollerna är dubblerade. När publiken kommer in möts de av förberedelser, av värdar/teknisk personal/skådespelare i bruna/prickiga sminkrockar, av ett rum där garderob, scen, snabbmasker, café är synliga och integrerade delar av scenografin. Gränser mellan föreställning/rum/publik, mellan att vara på/av scen, skådespelare/privatperson, föreställning/paus luckras upp.  Scenografi och kostym är gjord i samarbete med Linda Wallgren, regi av Gunilla Johansson. Musikalen Jekyll and Hyde sattes upp av ”Musikal i Kungälv”, regissör Annica Edstam.
Scenografin bestod av 7 stegar och ett flertal projektioner.
De 15 scenrummen skapades genom att flytta stegarna i olika positioner och använda projektioner som gestaltade och förstärkte rummet. Projektionerna var gjorda som collage, mest svartvita foton i kombination med teckningar.
